The Mt. Carmel nursery is an engaging and safe place where your children can experience God’s love for them and be cared for in small groups. We want all of our nursery kids to know:

  • God loves them
  • God made them and
  • Jesus wants to be their friend forever!

Visit the nursery each Sunday at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 11:00am at Mt Carmel.

K-5th Grade

SUNDAY MORNINGS:   Following our early service there are several adult studies taking place during the 10 O’clock hour…that is why we offer the WORM for kids K-5th.  The WORM, or Work Shop Rotation Model, is set up so that age specific lessons are taught in three different workshops (art, theatre, and games) each Sunday morning. Important bible stories are taught for three consecutive weeks so that kids have a chance to experience each story thoroughly and through a variety of mediums. For example, you may build Noah’s Ark one week in the Art Workshop, watch a movie about Noah’s Ark in the theater the next week, and play games that emphasize the major themes of the same story in the third week. In this way we insure our kids truly capture the meaning of the story while providing for a variety of active learning styles.

The focus the WORM is to show children that they can experience God in a variety of ways.  We hope our children live out their faith whether they are watching movies, acting, creating artwork, or playing games.  In this way they take the gospel beyond the walls of the church and into their everyday lives.  We want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. Join us at Mt. Carmel every Sunday at either  10:00 a.m. for The Worm!

Wednesday Nights

Mt. Carmel offers Children’s Choir from 6:30-7:15pm for children in grades 1-5.  Our children’s choir practices weekly and participates in music ministry several times during the church year.

Following Children’s Choir we spend time teaching our kids the importance of being faithful servants.  Even children have something to offer in regard to missions.  At mission kids we take time to study foreign and local missions as well as participating in the creation of mission gifts for assisted living communities, local business and non-profit organizations.

On Wednesday Nights our children’s program rotates every other week between Devo-Kids, a time of devotion, prayer, and fellowship and Helping Hands where the children have a fun night led by our Youth Group.  Both of these programs follow our Wednesday night meal which begins at 6:00pm.  Its a great night for the whole family to come and be fed on many different levels.
